The Guatemala Stone Head

The Guatemala Stone Head

In the middle of a Guatemalan jungle, in the 1930s, a team of explorers found a gigantic and powerfully designed sandstone statue. The amazing thing is that the facial features of the statue presented no resemblance with the Mayans’ or any other people’s looks. Actually, the statue had and elongated cranium and extremely fine features which were never reported in the history books as something specific in matter of looks to any kinds of people.

After some research was done, the results pointed that the statue most probably depicted a member of an ancient civilization that was far more advanced than any of the pre-Hispanic races of America we know about. There were also speculations that underneath the head’s statue it might’ve been a larger construction, speculations which turned out to be false.

Sadly, the statue was destroyed by revolutionary troops which used it for target practice.
